R.E.A.C.H.

At Arcadian Bank, we have a long history of supporting the communities that we live and work in. Our tagline is “Community Focused, Community Focused” after all. While all staff members play an active role in living out our tagline, the bank’s growth calls for a dedicated team of individuals to organize and implement our outreach efforts. Enter: the R.E.A.C.H. Team! Formally launched in 2020, the R.E.A.C.H. Team is tasked with finding practical ways to improve the lives of all community members. We strive to make an impact by representing the bank through involvement and visibility within our communities. What does R.E.A.C.H. stand for exactly? We’re glad you asked…

RECRUIT

Internally, to recruit employees to volunteer in various ways in the community. Externally, to recruit high performance individuals for our team and to introduce people to the possibility of a career in banking in general.

EDUCATE

To share the wealth of knowledge within our team with the communities that we live in, across all ages, stages, and walks of life. Small business owners, stay-at-home-moms, farmers, new home owners, children, etc.

ALLOCATE

To distribute financial resources into our communities for various projects, fundraisers, and non-profits in order to make a positive affect on the quality of life here in Freeborn County.

CARE

To spread kindness and compassion by thinking beyond the four walls of our bank and finding ways to support and encourage those in our communities who may be struggling or may need a reason to smile.

HELP

To ally with local non-profits by providing a helping hand within our communities, in a tangible, practical "boots on the ground" sort of way.

Community Owned. Community Focused.

2024 Donations

Total of $71,775 donated across over 100 local organizations, events and causes.

Completed Initiatives

  • Pack the Trailer: Our R.E.A.C.H. team coordinates a community food drive inviting local businesses to participate in collecting nonperishable food, paper products and personal care items during the month of March. Our staff and our community partners collected over 4,400 pounds that was donated to four local food shelves.
  • Arcadian Backs the Classroom: Through a random drawing selection one elementary teacher from multiple local school districts was awarded a $100 Amazon gift card to support their classroom.  The teachers used the gift cards to purchase items such as general supplies, flexible seating options, stem activities or whatever it may be to provide a lasting impact in their classroom.
  • Thanksgiving Baskets: Our staff joined together to embrace the season of giving and gratitude. Together, we created 12 delicious Thanksgiving meal baskets complete with mashed potatoes generously donated by Mrs. Gerry’s. These baskets were delivered to Youth for Christ-The Rock to be distributed to local families in need.
  • Sparky Golf Tournament: The LIFE Center of Freeborn County provides programming and services to members with disabilities. Their mission is to advocate passionately while compassionately delivering programs and expand opportunities, empower people and enrich lives while having fun. We are the diamond level sponsor of the event and our staff helps with set up, registration, lunch and games out on the course. It’s a good day for a good cause!
  • Albert Lea Main Street Program’s Holiday Bazaar: Sponsored and staffed a free will donation hot chocolate stand for the community with all proceeds going to the Main Street Program.
  • Freeborn County Fair 4-H Auction Supporter: We are proud to support the local kids and families who invest so much valuable time and hard work into their projects.
  • Buckets on Broadway Humane Society Fundraiser: Our staff is passionate about their pets! We volunteered at the annual Buckets on Broadway event collecting donations that support operations of the Freeborn County Humane Society.
  • Winter Wear Drives: Partnered with the United Way of Freeborn County, as collection sites for their respective winter wear drives to help provide for those in our communities needing hats, gloves, and coats for the winter season.
  • Career Fair & Guest Speaking at ALHS: Staff participated in the high school career fair showcasing career opportunities in banking and staff volunteered to be guest speakers to the 8th grade pathways class sharing the story of their individual path to their current career.
  • Mock Interviewers: Sent staff volunteers to the Albert Lea High School and to Glenville-Emmons School to assist students in interviewing skills.
  • Local Parades & Events: Our staff can be found at many local town festival parades and at local events with our inflatable money booth.
  • Free Fraud Prevention & Shredding Event: Along with the Albert Lea Police Department and Freeborn County Sherriff Department we offered free document shredding and education to take action against increasing fraud and scams.
